Hemorrhoids
treatment Discover various options for hemorrhoids
treatment
Treatment of hemorrhoids
depends on the degree and symptomatology. The treatments
can be grouped into:
- conservative (diet and vascular tonification by
taking herbs, herbal supplement, medicines for venous
insufficiency and hemorrhoids , by applying ointments
and gels, etc );
-
semi invasive/semi operative/ (sclerotherapy, cryotherapy,
manual dilation, photocoagulation, bipolar diathermy, and
electrocoagulation, rubber band ligation);
- surgical
methods (hemorrhoidectomy).
Conservative methods with or
without nonexcisional treatments are preferred to surgical
methods. Surgical treatment sometimes is difficult, and does
not always lead to cure. Usually the surgery causes severe
postoperative pain for a long period of time.
The pain is getting worse and
it might become unbearable during the defecation. Since the
main cause for developing hemorrhoids is not removed by
the surgery after some months or years the
hemorrhoids flare up again. You knock again on the surgeon’s
door and he or she very reluctantly advises repetition of the
treatment.
